lion in the Okavango Delta of Botswana charges a persistent lioness who approaches
the buffalo skull on which he has been feeding. She shows a remarkable blend
of aggression and submission, defending herself with open mouth and claws while
hunkering down and even rolling over. The confrontation continues on the next
page.
