Blue
icebergs are surrounded by a newly frozen sea surface of the Weddell Sea in
October, 2007. Landforms of the Antarctic Peninsula beyond are covered with
ice and snow. Tracks of Adélie penguins form a meandering pattern in
the snow cover at bottom left.
